Ductless Heat Pumps

Ductless (“mini-spit” or “zonal”) heat pumps were developed over 30 years ago to efficiently serve the Japanese housing market.  Since then, these heat pumps have evolved technically and in terms of product lines and applications, making them the preferred heating and cooling system in Europe and Asia.  We Americans are starting to pay attention.

Compared to electric resistance heat, ductless heat pumps heat for approximately one-third of the cost of while providing improved comfort and indoor air quality.  There is no comparison between room air conditioners and ductless heat pumps.

Many world-class manufacturers build and distribute ductless heat pumps.  Companies you have heard of such as Mitsubishi, Panasonic, Sanyo, Samsung, and LG all make ductless heat pumps (along with others you may have not heard of such as Daikin and Fujitsu).  This is because ductless heat pumps are the future of heating and cooling.  As you would expect from these types of companies, ductless heat pumps are well engineered products that are amazingly quiet, efficient, and reliable.
